1996 CHATEAU LATOUR GRAND VIN

Chateau Latour is one of only three (3) of the many wines produced in the Paulliac region of Bordeaux that have earned a “ First Growth Status.“ The other two wines are Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Chateau Lafite Rothschild. This is a classic Bordeaux red wine that came from a local cellar in Palmetto Bluff that was purchased by its owner from Bassin’s in Washington DC in or around 1999 when it was first released. Since being purchased by the original owner, it has rested in this one proper temperature and humidity-controlled wine cellar ever since. Tasting Notes From the Cellar Tracker - The grand vin Chateau Latour, is typically a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the remainder Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, normally has an annual production of 18,000 cases. This wine will cellar well through 2050 – 97 / 100 Points, Cellar Tracker

The tournament is one of the oldest tennis championships in the world, originally known as the U.S. National Championship, for which men's singles and men's doubles were first played in August 1881.
